Whenever possible, learning should be hands-on and practical. Since my high school years as a Boy Scout camp counselor, I've spent my summers building engaging educational experiences.
Whether it was helping 4th graders write and design a professionally-produced newspaper; creating a mobile lab that showcased drone piloting and coding careers; or directing the MIPA summer journalism workshop at Michigan State University, I have always sought to make learning fun.
